Impressões probatórias: cultura x progressão escolar em duas escolas públicas de comunidade

This article - the result of a teaching experience - aims to present the results of a research on culture and education, carried out in two community public schools, at the GRE Metro Norte, in the State of Pernambuco. Supported by a theoretical foundation supported by the ideas of Roque Laraia, Gilles Lipovetsky, Terry Eagleton, among other thinkers, the numbers of the qualitative-descriptive research confirm the cultural force (often retroactive) exerted by the environment belonging to the schools observed. The results also examine the urgent need to strengthen the triad teacher / teacher, school management / government and family, in the construction of a broader school life of opportunities, which enables contact with a world culture capable of sensitizing students to future professional possibilities beyond their own community roots.
