The study aimed at portraying the possible forms of intercession between the Cognitive Behavioural Approach and Legal Psychology from the practice developed in the curricular internship in clinical psychology
with a legal focus in the Children and Youth Public Prosecutor's Office. Because it is children and youth, it aims to know the history of childhood and how it was treated before and after the creation of the Child and Adolescent, known as reference in the recognition of the rights of children and adolescents. Furthermore, it addresses the conceptions and the role of the family, taking into consideration the concept of intergenerationality, risk and protection factors in the formation of subjectivity of each individual and the development of resilience. It addresses the initial history and development of Legal Psychology, fields of action and the role of the psychologist in this area, especially in the Office of the Promoters of Children and Youth. It also presents historical, principles and overview of Cognitive Behavioral approach, which, theoretically, gave support to the action routine of Psychology in the technical sector of the Prosecutor for Children and Youth. It concludes by discussing the applicability of
cognitive behavioral psychology in legal based on almost two years of supervised the Attorney above.
