Internationalization: threats and opportunities in the supply chain of companies in Pernambuco

Abstract

Facing international competition, where organizations compete for consumers in different countries, the search for efficiency in the production chain has assumed a significant role in the search for competitive differentials that, through the use of administrative tools, adopt practices of continuous improvement in processes, aiming at excellence in terms of effectiveness and efficiency. This study sought to analyze the opportunities and threats that this global market presents to the supply chain of Pernambuco companies, with a closer look at the supply chain through imports of inputs, by them. The relevance of internationalization was observed, providing an increase in competitiveness and, combined with structuring projects and public policies aimed at economic growth, added value to the Pernambuco industry. The study used data from official agencies of the federal government, in addition to other government sources at the state level and publications considered relevant to the topic addressed.
