This article attempts to investigate the intersemiotic relations that contribute to the film adaptation of the poem O cão sem plumas, by João Cabral de Melo Neto, to the film Recife de dentro pra fora, by Katia Mesel.
Therefore, a qualitative bibliographic analysis was made, supported by the theories of Jakobson (1995), Peirce
(2010), Plaza (2010) and others. Considering the images obtained during the production of the documentary film, for Katia Mesel, the process of translation ratified by Julio Plaza was verified.
